TOURIST SITES
The coffee region is conformed by three departments: Caldas, Quindío and Risaralda, where there are some tourist sites.
The most representative of the region are:
- Termales de Santa Rosa de Cabal: Is located at 8 km of Santa Rosa. It is a famous place that has been known for the medicinal thermal waters. Also has ecological paths, pools of medicinal mood. There is a good tourist infrastructure.
-Zoo of Matecaña: Is located front of the Matecaña airport. A way for enter in the Zoo is by an excursion in train. The people are feeling attracted because the zoo is beautiful place. The zoo has about 830 animals from Asia, Africa and Colombia.
- National Park of Coffee: the park was founded 1995. It is located in the zone of Montenegro. The park has a culture and traditions about the coffee. There are ecological paths, sculpture, plantations, bridges and restaurant.
- P.A.N.A.C.A: the name complete of the park is Parque Nacional de la Cultura Agropecuaria (In Spanish). It is located in the zone of Quimbaya in the department of Quindío. This is a thematic park where it is showed how the countryside people in the coffee region live, with attractions about the world of aviculture, porcine and other characteristic animals of this region.
