In the urban part of the coffee growing, economy is mostly textiles, electronics, and food production.

The most important economic activity part is the rural tourism. Industry is based on the supply of local hotels in the region with its own identity in the coffee area. Many farms and traditional farms, with normal farming activities, have been conditioned to serve as lodging and accommodations for many tourists in hotels full of life and traditions of the early settlers of Antioquia.
